In worship today, we read from the book of Romans in the Bible, which tells us to: “put on the Lord Jesus Christ”. We then reflected on what aspects of Jesus’ character we’d like to make our own.

We had a tray of “name tag” stickers that listed some of the qualities that Jesus demonstrated – ones which we too want to show as Jesus’ followers: prayerful, forgiving, loyal, compassionate, thankful, encouraging, generous and self-controlled.

We each chose the word that spoke to us and put it on. Then we returned to our seats and talked to the person next to us about why we chose this particular word. And we prayed that God’s Spirit would help us “put on Jesus” every day.
