You’re invited to join us as we journey through Lent and Holy Week and into Easter.

Holy Week and Easter Worship Services

Christians often refer to the week before Easter as Holy Week. It contains some of the most important days of the church year, including Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Thursday 13 April – Maundy Thursday, commemorating Jesus’ Last Supper with Holy Communion and foot-washing. Everyone is invited to share in a “Last Supper” style dinner. Roast lamb will be provided – please bring a salad or vegetable dish to share. We will participate in an informal Holy Communion around the table and everyone is invited to take part in the traditional Maundy Thursday ritual of washing one another’s feet in imitation of Jesus’ servant-like love. The evening starts at 6pm in the church hall.

Friday 14 April – Good Friday, worship service 9am, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus

Sunday 16 April – Easter Day, worship service 9am, celebrating Jesus’ resurrection.

All welcome.

Lent Bible Study

Lent is the name given to the period of 40 days leading up to Easter. Traditionally Christians have used this time as a period  of reflection, recommitment and renewal. The “official” church colour for Lent is purple, which symbolises both royalty (Jesus as King) and repentance.

Every Wednesday from 1 March until Easter, Revd Bryce will lead a study in the church hall for anyone interested in finding out more about following Jesus by reading about him in God’s word, the Bible.

All welcome. 7.30 to 9pm.

Read a Lent reflection from Revd Bryce.
